About
Hey, I'm Alex
Growing up I loved taking photos of anything and everything with my Olympus Camedia. In late 2017 I picked up my first DSLR - a Nikon D3400. I just planned on taking photos of friends and family, nothing serious.
That all changed when I started working for The K-State Collegian newspaper and immediately fell in love. The first photo I took for the newspaper was of the Panda Express in the student union, but as I got more familiar with my camera I started covering local events - that I otherwise wouldn't have attended or even known about.

After about a year of working for the Collegian, I was able to start photographing sports. The feeling of being surrounded by 50,000 screaming fans at a football game while being on the field capturing the action is an experience I'll never forget. I was instantly hooked on sports, shooting football, basketball, track, cross country, baseball, soccer, golf, and rugby. After I graduated from K-State in 2018 I was given a final assignment for the Collegian, a NASCAR race at the Kansas Speedway - which is one of the most exciting things I've ever photographed.

Once I moved to Kansas City I started looking for something to take photos of. Out of the blue, I decided to apply for Kansas City Fashion Week and somehow got accepted. I also joined some local creative groups and started focusing on portrait photography.
Since then I've been a part of over 10 fashion shows, taken countless portraits, and even gotten into the music scene - shooting concerts and festivals like Dancefestopia and Country Stampede. Photography has given me some amazing opportunities and allowed me to meet some incredible people. I can't wait to see you in front of my camera next!
